We are a welcoming Catholic community called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people. Our parish mission is:

To proclaim the Gospel of Christ to our local community in word, deed, and truth.

COLUMBARIUM AND MEDITATION GARDEN

St. Vincent de Paul cemetery is the only active Catholic cemetery in Elkhart county. We currently serve the four catholic parishes in Elkhart county and the Michiana area. Development of a new columbarium and meditation area has started and will feature a 72 niche columbarium, dedicated in ground burial plots and special family burial sections. This garden will also include meditation spaces. This cornerstone section will also serve as our l launch to develop a sacred and beautiful entrance to the cemetery off Indiana Avenue. There will be no entrance to the cemetery from Jones Avenue. This also marks the first phase in the overall cemetery restoration and future development. We invite you to visit this site often to see our progress and provide financial support as we experience God’s blessings in this ministry.

Garden of the Holy Innocents

All life is sacred, and God created each person in His image for eternal life. St. Vincent de Paul cemetery has a dedicated space for the honor and interment of those little ones that passed into the arms of Jesus. This includes infants, miscarriages, still born, aborted and abandoned infants. Every All Souls Day in November St. Vincent de Paul holds a mass in the cemetery to honor these souls and pray for the parents who experience this loss. In partnership with Billings Funeral Home every year we gather the cremains from the Michiana area and at this time and place provide the sacred interment in our Garden of the Holy Innocents section. In 2022 St. Vincent de Paul interred 164 little ones. We invite you to support by prayer and donation this ministry. We  also invite you to support our spiritual partners; The Right to Life Action Group / Holy Innocents – This ministry provided the Garden of Holy Innocents memorial you see below.
